AICPA, Ajilon Name CPAs to Hall of Fame

July 30, 2007 (SmartPros) The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has inducted three new members into the AICPA Business and Industry Hall of Fame, an annual event sponsored by staffing services company Ajilon Finance.

The Hall of Fame honors certified public accountants who provide insight and vision to their organizations, understand all facets of their enterprise, and demonstrate the leadership, commitment and strategic ability necessary to help their organizations meet the challenges of today’s dynamic market conditions. The three finalists were chosen by a panel of judges assembled by the AICPA.

"Each winner clearly exemplifies the strategic value of a CPA working in business and industry. The accomplishments of these new Hall of Famers demonstrate how the CPA skill set can be leveraged," stated John F. Morrow, AICPA vice president of Business, Industry and Government.  "The winners are, of course, skilled practitioners, but they would not have gotten where they are today without top-flight leadership skills, compassion and moral strength."

The winners of the Ninth Annual Business and Industry Hall of Fame Awards are:

  • Arthur V. Neis, former Vice President, Treasurer/CFO of LCS Holdings, Inc., Des Moines, IA
  • James W. Noyce, CEO of FBL Financial Group, West Des Moines, IA; and
  • Peggy Scott, Executive Vice President, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, LA.
