FASB Chairman Herz Reappointed to Second Term Jan. 24, 2007 (SmartPros) Financial Accounting Standards Board Chairman Robert Herz has been reappointed to a second five-year term, commencing on July 1, 2007. Robert J. DeSantis, president and chief operating officer of the Financial Accounting Foundation, which appoints FASB members, made the announcement Tuesday. Herz, 53, was initially appointed chairman in 2002. He is both a U.S. Certified Public Accountant and a U.K Chartered Accountant.
