BofA Thanks 3,000 Accountants With iPods

April 5, 2006 (SmartPros) Bank of America announced it will hand out to CPAs a gift package that includes an iPod Shuffle -- a marketing campaign that thanks accountants for their hard work during the tax-prep season, said BofA.

The bank's Business Banking division, which serves smaller companies, is distributing more than 3,000 packages to accountants in the 29 states where the bank has branches.

In addition to the $69-valued iPod, the gift basket, pictured right, includes a $10 gift card for online music, a squeezable stress relief ball, and candy.

Employees of the Business Bankers division began to personally deliver the "Get in Tune" packages to local CPAs on April 3, and will continue through May in some markets. The campaign reaches out to current customers and firms that the bank wants to do business with.

"We're taking this hands-on approach as a reflection of our personal and local commitment to these hard-working men and women, and because we're all part of the same communities," said Lynn Pike, president, Bank of America Business Banking. "We feel delivering the packages in person is a much more sincere way of saying thank you than simply putting them in the mail."
