Global Role for Top KPMG Brit
Oct. 3, 2005
(Evening Standard - London)
KPMG has hired one of its senior Brits to be chief executive of its international arm -- the umbrella operation that coordinates the activities of its partnerships around the world.
Mike Wareing, 51, is currently chief executive of KPMG's Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He replaces retiring Bob Alspaugh, formerly of KPMG's scandal-hit U.S. partnership, where he was previously deputy chairman and chief operating officer.
Wareing will answer to Mike Rake. While preparing to quit as chairman and senior partner of the U.K., Rake remains in charge of KPMG International for three more years.
