NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND FORM 990:
Hot Issues You Need to Know

A live 100-minute audio conference presented by CCH.
Thursday, August 11, 2005
2 p.m. Eastern
1 p.m. Central

CCH Tax and Accounting is hosting a live 100-minute audio seminar, Not-for-Profit Organizations and Form 990: Hot Issues You Need to Know. Expert presenters Michael J. Tucker and Jeffrey L. Jacobs, co-producers of The CPA Report's Not-for-Profit Specialist, will walk listeners through practice pointers on successfully filing the entire Form 990 package, including Forms 990-T and 990-PF. They will focus on how widespread disclosure of this information creates new issues for tax advisers to not-for-profit organizations with funding agencies and regulators. If you have ANY nonprofit agencies in your client base, this audio seminar is a must-attend event.

Presentation Objectives:
In the seminar, Mr. Tucker and Mr. Jacobs will:

  • Analyze how the IRS Form 990 package has changed and what those changes mean to tax practitioners;
  • Develop compensation strategies to overcome the "intermediate sanctions" penalty;
  • Apply recently released IRS guidance to demystify the classification and computation of unrelated business income (UBIT);
  • Evaluate the roadblocks in obtaining - and maintaining - exempt status;
  • Suggest steps tax advisers must take in preparing Form 990-PF for private foundations;
  • Help listeners understand how donors and state attorneys general are increasingly using Form 990 information; and
  • Answer YOUR questions live.
How the Audio Seminar Works:
CCH's live audio conferences require nothing more than a telephone connection. For the $249 per site fee, you can have an unlimited number of listeners at your site participate, get up to speed and in-the-know on this hot new topic.
