Retreat 2005 to Offer Possibilities for Financial Planners March 7, 2005 (SmartPros) The Financial Planning Association's Retreat 2005 will be held May 14-17 at Westin Innisbrook Golf Resort in Tampa, Fla. With the theme of "Possibilities," Retreat 2005 will focus on aspects that embrace both the art and science of financial planning. Four general sessions highlight this theme: "Lasting Success and Just Enough" presented by Laura Nash, Ph.D.; "The Future of Money" presented by Bernard Lietaer; "What Financial Planners Should Know about Gender Issues" presented by Warren Farrell, Ph.D.; and "Appreciative Inquiry…The Successes…The Possibilities…The Futures" presented by Andrea Henning and Jonathan Massey. In addition, the educational program is divided into three tracks: interior, exterior and interactive. The interior track offers sessions that focus on the qualitative aspects of the profession, while the exterior track offers sessions that disseminate the technical aspects of financial planning. The interactive track is a "show, not tell" journey into the heart of financial planning. "Retreat 2005 will challenge knowledge and assumptions and provide planners with ‘bleeding-edge’ financial planning information to take their practices to the next level," said Retreat 2005 Task Force Chair Ray Ferrara.
