IMA Recognizes Top Performers on the CMA and CFM Exams Jan. 19, 2005 (SmartPros) The Institute of Management Accountants recognized 17 IMA members with awards for their superior scores on the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Financial Manager (CFM) examinations during summer 2004. Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to the individuals that received the top three scores on the CMA and CFM exams. IMA also recognized the college students who earned the highest score on each exam with the Student Performance Award. Certificates of Distinguished Performance were awarded to 12 individuals in recognition of their excellent performance on the CMA and CFM exams. The medals for the highest scorers on the CMA exam are sponsored by Procter & Gamble, and the medals for the highest scorers on the CFM exam are sponsored by Johnson & Johnson. "I am pleased to have the opportunity to congratulate these outstanding professionals," said Paul Sharman, IMA's interim executive director. "With the growing number of executives that hold the CMA/CFM credentials, the value of the management, critical thinking and decision-making skills the programs impart, and the advantage this lends to individuals in business, is evident.
