Grant Thornton Appoints New Int'l Tax Partner Dec. 2, 2004 (SmartPros) Grant Thornton LLP has appointed Jeffrey Olin, Chicago and Midwest Region international tax partner, as national partner-in-charge of international tax services. Olin, who joined the firm in January 2004, specializes in preparing businesses for global expansion through cross border tax planning and analysis. He consults with clients for both inbound and outbound international transactions and assists clients with multinational tax planning to minimize worldwide effective tax rates. "The market demands Grant Thornton have a robust international tax practice. Our practice goals are to help clients expand into new markets, to build a larger international tax practice and to create teams of dedicated professionals to serve our markets with excellence," said Olin. He has more than 16 years of experience in the international tax field.
