IMA Launches Sarbanes-Oxley Knowledge Network

Dec. 3, 2003 (SmartPros) The Institute of Management Accountants announced the launch of its Sarbanes-Oxley Knowledge Network, a Web-based collaborative learning tool designed to aid financial professionals in understanding and implementing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. The tool is accessible free of charge to anyone during December 2003 and January 2004.

Accessible at www.imaknowledge.org/sox, the Network includes a Q&A forum moderated by IMA subject matter expert Jorge E. Guerra, an open email exchange forum with other Network members, a resource library, a series of proprietary, and never-before-published articles on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in the context of corporate governance practices.

Following the initial free-access period in December 2003 and January 2004, access to the Network will become subscription-based. An annual subscription will be priced at $299, and any financial professional, including non-IMA members, may become a paid Network subscriber as of February 1, 2004. IMA will expand the Network content to include other relevant and current topics as they arise.

"Development and launch of the Network reflects IMA's commitment to provide financial professionals with cutting-edge information and value-added services to support current industry legislation and trends," said IMA President David Schweitz.
