Webcast: Pre-Tax-Season Guide for Practitioners


WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2003 (SmartPros) The December Tax Talk Today Webcast , co-sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service, will act as a pre-tax-season guide for practitioners.



The live panel discussion on Tuesday, December 9 at 2:00 EST, will offer a preview of the 2004 tax season by highlighting major changes in tax laws and IRS procedures, and answering viewer questions about what those changes will mean in the "real world."

The panel will include Bob Erickson, Senior Technical Advisor of the IRS's Tax Forms and Publications Division; Emily M. Holland, EA, Director of the National Association of Enrolled Agents; Bennett E. Shifman, CPA, of Bennett E. Shifman LLC, in Braintree, MA; and Estelle R. Tunley, Deputy Director of the IRS's Submission Processing, Wage and Investment Division. Les Witmer, Communications Consultant and 23-year veteran of the IRS, will moderate the Internet broadcast.

After an open discussion, the panelists will answer emailed, faxed or phoned-in viewer questions about next year's filing season and upcoming IRS procedural changes.
