WASHINGTON, July 1, 2003 (SmartPros) The Internal Revenue Service has appointed Beanna Whitlock, a certified senior advisor, as director of National Public Liaison, a division of the agency that serves as a vital link to tax professionals and practitioners.

Whitlock has been a tax professional for 35 years and an enrolled agent since 1979. She maintains a tax and financial services business in San Antonio. In her new role, she will oversee the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC), the Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC) and the annual IRS tax forums. She will play a leading role representing the IRS before practitioners, federal agencies and other stakeholders.
