Big Four Alumni Site Gets New Look Apr. 4, 2003 Big4.com, a service for global alumni of the Big Four accounting and consulting firms, has launched its redesigned Web site through a new partnership with finance and accounting job site Jobsinthemoney. The site now offers more content, community and commercial resources. Alumni have access to news, events, an alumni database, jobs, proposals, financial services and other information. Big4.com's careers area is exclusively powered by Jobsinthemoney.
Accounting firms Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers are listed on the site. Consulting firms Accenture, BearingPoint, Braxton, and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young are also included.
Recent reports indicate that Deloitte has canceled its plan to split off its consulting firm that has been re-named Braxton. James E. Copeland, Deloitte's CEO, said the company was not able to obtain adequate financing, and said the weak economy hurt the economic prospects of the consulting business. Braxton is nevertheless listed on Big4.com.
Previously known for the past three years as iBig5.com, the new site accurately reflects the absence of Arthur Andersen since its collapse in 2002.
The site states its goal is "to be the preferred site for alumni to obtain current events, information, news, career resources, audit clients, and worldwide offices of the Big4 firms; as well as encourage positive discussions and alumni commerce, and highlight alumni achievements."
