Event: Corporate Fraud Prevention for Boards of Directors Mar. 26, 2003 In the wake of corporate crisis, the regulatory and legislative landscape governing American business has changed. In turn, the bar has been raised for corporate directors, who are expected to review financials, interface with corporate divisions and maintain exceptional communication channels with their co-directors. To assist directors in achieving these goals, NorthStar Conferences, in cooperation with the AICPA, Ernst & Young, Decision Strategies, Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and The Gavel Group, has crafted a new program entitled "Corporate Fraud Prevention: A Briefing for Boards of Directors." The first in the series of programs will take place in New York on May 19-20, 2003, at the Le Parker Meridien in New York City. The program will cover fraud prevention and detection and is crafted to address the unique needs and concerns of corporate board members. Highlights will include updates from the SEC and Capitol Hill, as well as hands-on business issues and an interactive case study on what to do when fraud is detected in your organization. Here is a sampling of the seminars offered:
The remaining conferences in the series include briefings for chief financial officers, chief information officers, and general counsel: 2003 SmartPros Ltd. All rights reserved. |
