MSCPA Launches Student Web Site

BOSTON, Mass., Feb. 11, 2003 The Massachusetts Society of CPAs (MSCPA) has launched its newest student recruitment initiative, CPATrack.com, a comprehensive Web site targeting both high school and college students with accounting education and career information.

The site, which was created in collaboration with students, features information to assist students in their career decision-making by providing various resources, such as information on scholarships and internships, a list of colleges in Massachusetts that have accounting programs, CPA exam requirements, and a forum that enables students to pose questions and express opinions to other students, educators, and CPAs.

"CPATrack.com will increase awareness and perception of the CPA profession among students and encourage enrollment in accountancy programs," said Barbara Iannoni, MSCPA Academic and Career Development Coordinator.

Public accounting firms, non-profit organizations and companies throughout the state have the opportunity to post accounting internship opportunities to the site for free, and MSCPA members will have access to students' resumes that are posted through the site.
