Intacct CEO to Present at NY CPA Tech Show LOS GATOS, Calif., July 30, 2002 Intacct Corporation, a provider of online professional accounting solutions, announced Monday that its CEO David C. Thomas will present at the New York CPA, Business & Technology Show, which will be held at the Hilton New York Hotel, August 6-7, 2002. The focus of Thomas’ presentation will be "How to Improve Your Small Business Accounting Services with New Online Systems."
"We are experiencing the birth of an entirely new industry, generated by the availability of affordable, pay as you grow, easy to access technology products," said Thomas. "This online technology offers a multitude of benefits that have never before been available to accounting professionals, and I look forward to providing more insights about this topic to the many professionals who will attend the New York CPA, Business & Technology Conference."
As founder and CEO of Intacct, Thomas has developed an online professional accounting system from the ground up, as opposed to retooling software for Internet deployment. He began his career in the late 1970s, writing time-sharing accounting software for mainframe computers. Later, he became one of the desktop software industry's pioneers when he architected and hand-coded one of the first accounting software applications for the personal computer. That undertaking grew into a company called Cyma, which subsequently became a leader in the accounting software sector for much of its 20-year history, and was later acquired by McGraw-Hill in the mid-1980s.
In booth # 201, New York CPA, Business & Technology Conference attendees can see how Intacct is using online services to help the accounting industry move into a new era of technology. Click here
