As part of the new Intacct/ADP partnership, Intacct will integrate its online General Ledger application with ADP's Major Accounts payroll solutions, including PC Payroll for Windows (PCPW) and Pay eXpert for small-to-midsize companies with up to 999 employees. Developed to automate the once laborious process of reconciling the general ledger against payroll expenses, the Intacct/ADP integration will automatically synchronize general ledger codes into payroll records and will provide application users with an option to allocate tax costs for small-to-midsize companies on a department-by-department basis.

"The integration of the Intacct system with ADP's Major Accounts payroll solutions will bring tremendous cost-efficiencies to both accountants and the small and midsize enterprises they serve," said Intacct CEO, David C. Thomas in announcing the Intacct/ADP integration. "With this integrated application suite, the time consuming process of manually reconciling general ledger entries with payroll expenses will be automated, sparing CPAs and their clients countless hours spent keying-in financial data, while greatly minimizing the risks of error."

According to the company, the integration of ADP's payroll suite with an online accounting solution will benefit from Intacct's open-source programming framework and eXtensible Markup Language (XML) gateway.
