Centerprise Information Solutions Snaps Up Houston IT Firm HOUSTON, Jan. 20, 2001 (SmartPros) Centerprise Information Solutions, the technology arm of accounting firm consolidator Centerprise Advisors, has acquired a Houston-based technology consulting firm.
Keeping inline with Centerprises' growth strategy of building IT consulting practices in cities where Centerprise CPA partner firms are located, the company has snapped up FinAcc Resources, a Great Plains Partner, owned by Margaret J. Foster. The acquisition will add six professionals and over 100 clients, the company stated. "The move was very strategic for us as we wanted to leverage the market presence that we already have in Houston and surrounding counties with our CPA partner firm, Mann Franfort Stein and Lipp (MFSL). FinAcc has developed a symbiotic relationship with MFSL and this acquisition solidifies the relationship," said Ron Eagle, chief operating officer of the Business Systems Solutions Division at Centerprise. Centerprise Information Solutions, which resells Sage, Great Plains, Timberline and Interact Commerce (formerly SalesLogix), specializes in financial application system selection, implementation, training, on-going technical support and integration with e-commerce and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions. Centerprise Advisors Inc., the nation's 13th largest professional services firm, has 950 professionals serving over 15,000 clients. -- SmartPros News Staff Send comments to information@smartpros.com. 2001, Smartpros Ltd.
