Under the arrangement, Deloitte & Touche Outsourcing, a service line of Deloitte & Touche LLP, will provide outsourcing services based on Lawson's e-business engines and application extensions, the firms said at a press conference coinciding with the eBusiness Conference and Expo in New York City.

Deloitte & Touche is part of the Lawson Software Business Partner Program, and has joined the LawsonTone program as a Business Service Provider.

"This agreement is a major step forward both for our relationship with Deloitte & Touche and for our LawsonTone strategy," said Eric Morgan, executive vice president of eMerging Markets, Lawson Software. "In addition to standard enterprise software implementations offered by Deloitte & Touche, our customers have a choice to outsource their financial and/or information technology management to Deloitte & Touche Outsourcing."

Deloitte & Touche Outsourcing provides hosting services, applications maintenance, systems integration, client transition services, business process design and business process outsourcing, including record keeping, accounting, back-office processing and management reporting services to clients in all market segments.

The LawsonTone program integrates network, hosting and business process expertise with Lawson's enterprise e-business solutions delivered via the Web. LawsonTone partners provide for remote hosting of solutions and e-services, and aggregate the entire infrastructure and application management services needed to deliver solutions and services to the end-user.
