SAP Expands Executive Board


WALLDORF, Germany, Dec. 13, 2000 (SmartPros) Enterprise software giant SAP has expanded its executive board with the addition of Werner Brandt, who will serve as chief financial officer and member of the board with responsibility for the finance function.



As of Feb. 1, 2001, Brandt will assume many of the responsibilities now held by Henning Kagermann, co-chairman of the board and chief executive officer of SAP AG.

As CFO, Brandt succeeds Dieter Matheis, who is also a member of the extended management board of SAP AG. Matheis, who joined the firm in 1984, will continue to serve SAP until his retirement at the end of 2001.

Brandt previously served as CFO at Fresenius Medical Care AG. Prior to his position with Fresenius, he was vice president of European finance for Baxter Pharmaceuticals in Munich.
