Virtual Growth Execs Take on New Roles NEW YORK, Dec. 12, 2000 (SmartPros) Two top executives of Silicon Alley-based outsourced accounting and bookkeeping company Virtual Growth have shifted their duties.
In addition to his responsibilities as chairman, Virtual Growth founder Stephen King has taken on the role of chief product architect. The company also announced that president George J. Klauser has assumed the duties of chief executive officer, formerly held by King. Virtual Growth is focusing its efforts on process improvements and "becoming an operationally excellent company," according to Klauser, who said the move will enable the firm to meet its next challenge: maintaining "high levels of client service while profitably scaling the business." As chief product architect, King will spend more time in the field talking to the company's customers, prospects, strategic partners, and the CPA community. King also said he will spend more time "acting as company evangelist," telling the firm's story to external audiences. All of the firm's clients will have their accounting and bookkeeping needs serviced from the regional headquarters in Columbia, S.C. facility by the end of the year. Virtual Growth's client setup teams, application development, information technology, business development, sales, finance, human resources and marketing will be handled from its New York City headquarters. -- SmartPros News Staff Send comments to information@smartpros.com. 2000, Smartpros Ltd.
