PayMaxx in Alliance With CPA Firm FRANKLIN, Tenn., Dec. 7, 2000 (SmartPros) Payroll processing and Internet payroll services provider PayMaxx has struck an alliance with Birmingham, Ala.-based CPA firm Warren, Averett, Kimbrough & Marino to offer Internet and Windows-based payroll services for small and mid-size businesses. As part of the deal, WAKM affiliate eCommerce Solutions and PayMaxx will offer PayMaxx's eCS POWERPayroll, a payroll offering tailored for employers with up to 20,000 employees that enables companies to submit their payroll via the Internet and receive payroll checks and reports the next day. In addition to basic payroll processing, eCS POWERPayroll offers nationwide tax filing, electronic new hire reporting and direct deposit. WAKM will offer eCS POWERPayroll as a co-branded Internet-based payroll service for employers with fewer than 100 employees or larger companies with multiple work sites. WAKM will also co-market Payload, PayMaxx's PC-input system, for employers with 100 to 20,000 employees.
