Knowledgeservice Unveils Estate Planning Software for Palm and Handspring Users SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Dec. 2,2000 (SmartPros) Knowledgeservice.com, an online service aimed at CPAs, attorneys, and trust officers, has rolled out estate tax planning software designed for Palm Pilot and Handspring users. EtcSLite, short for Estate Tax Calculation Software Lite, enables users to calculate estate tax liability by answering nine questions. Other features include automatic calculation of insurance costs, and an estate analysis module that compares the estate with and without insurance, provides graphs of the results, and analyzes investing the insurance premium versus purchasing life insurance. The software also functions as a premium calculator both on single lives and second-to-die policies priced with the premiums paid for a lifetime or for 10 years. The software costs $99.
