Letters to the Editor Barry the AICPARe: AICPA's Plan for Cognitor Designation Forges Ahead From: Jack Heaney, CPA, www.jacktax.com Some readers may remember way back in 1993 and 1994 at AICPA Tax Division meetings I was a heralder of the modernization and changes to come. Instead of seizing on modernization and showing my colleagues how to use the tech world, they brought in Barry Melancon. Immediately tax division committees were abolished en masse (I have always thought this was to pay for the new caps and the portraits). The AICPA and the profession have been destroyed. No Eighth Avenue pimp could have better pandered to the Council and Big Five. Remember, I stood up at tax division meetings and said you can't do this. Now it all seems to be over. -- Dec. 2, 2000 Read more Letters to the Editor regarding the Cognitor designation. Return to Letters to the Editor |
