Great Plains Enables Consumer Sales Via the Web FARGO, N.D., Nov. 21, 2000 (SmartPros) Great Plains, a software vendor based here, has unleashed a new e-commerce solution that enables business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales via the Web. Great Plains' eSell enables users to administer and manage their e-commerce storefront. The product integrates with Great Plains' Dynamics, eEnterprise or Solomon IV through customer, inventory and sales order records, the company said. Great Plains has partnered with Impressa Inc., a provider of e-business solutions, to make Impressa's BizGear Web site building solution the foundation of Great Plains' eSell. The eSell Site Manager enables users to manage the storefront and Web site through three components: eSell Storefront, a solution for managing products, customers and orders; eSell Lead System, that manages email campaigns, builds customer database and tracks customer responses; and eSell Calendar, which allows businesses to publish date-based information and visitor input. Great Plains' eSell will be available in early December for Dynamics and eEnterprise, the company stated.
