Ernst & Young Launches TV, Print Ad Campaign

NEW YORK, Nov. 18, 2000 (SmartPros) Big Five firm Ernst & Young is a launching a new television ad campaign for the first time since it divested its consulting business in May.

The theme of the ad campaign, which was created by New York advertising agency D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, is "New Rules for the New Economy," the firm said. E&Y will keep its original tag line "From Thought to Finish."

"Our bold and dynamic campaign captures the essence of our position in the marketplace and further differentiates us from the competition," said Jim Speros, national director of external communications at Ernst & Young.

Three television commercials, each 30 seconds in length, address how companies of the old economy are transforming themselves for the new economy, said E&Y. The ads were created in black and white with each spot tinted in a distinct color - red, blue or yellow.

The ads, which are an evolution of the animated campaign launched in 1999, will be broadcast on the ABC Network, A&E, CNBC, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel and ESPN.

In addition to the broadcast campaign, ten print ads will be placed in major publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and billboards in major U.S. airports.
