E&Y's Real Estate Arm Names Real Estate Tax Strategies Director


NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2000 (SmartPros) The Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group, the real estate arm of Big Five firm E&Y, has selected a national director of real estate tax strategies.



Sanford C. Presant, a former partner of New York-based law firm Battle Fowler, will fill the newly created position. One of his primary responsibilities will be providing tax planning strategies on real estate opportunity funds, the firm stated. He is based in E&Y's Los Angeles office.

Presant, who has served as a tax consultant, attorney and advisor for more than 22 years, has been an adjunct associate professor at New York University since 1984. In addition to serving on several tax-related boards and task forces, Presant has been published in a handful of professional journals including the Journal of Real Estate Taxation and the Real Estate Review.
