Sage Software Unleashes Business Alerts for MAS 90, MAS 200 IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 18, 2000 (SmartPros) In an effort to keep businesses on track, Sage Software, a provider of accounting software, has released its Business Alerts application for MAS 90 and MAS 200. Business Alerts acts as a virtual watchdog for businesses, monitoring sales, inventory, credit levels and other key business information and issues an email alert when something goes awry, the company said. For example, with Business Alerts, a user can track customer payment history and receive an email alert when a customer's invoice is more than 60 days overdue. Business Alerts is currently available for Sage's MAS 90, accounting, distribution, manufacturing and e-business management software for mid-size businesses, and MAS 200, a more robust package which incorporates thin-client technology. Business Alerts for use with MAS 200 SQL Server will take place in the fourth quarter, said Sage. The new application comes with a selection of predefined alerts, all of which can be modified. Users can also create custom alerts for any event or database activity they choose.
