PwC Jumps Into Managed Security Services ATLANTA, Oct. 18, 2000 (SmartPros) Big Five firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and Internet Security Systems, a provider of Internet security management solutions, have teamed up to equip PwC clients with managed security services. Under the agreement, PwC will offer its clients ISS' set of managed security services for remote information protection of digital assets. PwC will augment its set of risk management offerings by providing ISS' array of Managed Security Systems including Managed Firewall, Managed Instrusion Detection, Security and Emergency Response services, the company said. With the alliance, ISS will be able to expand its market reach to large enterprise customers, in addition to small and mid-size businesses in need of remote information protection, the company added. According the Framingham, Mass.-based research firm International Data Corp., the market for information security services -- including consulting, integration, management, and education and training -- is expected to grow to $16.5 billion by 2004, compared to $4.8 billion in 1998.
