Navision Software Goes Remote

ATLANTA, Oct. 13, 2000 (SmartPros) Navision Software, a provider of mid-market accounting software, has released its new Wireless Application Protocol Resource Kit, enabling users to access applications remotely.

Using the new Kit, Navision Solution Centers or resellers can make nearly any element of Navision Financials accessible from a handheld device such as a cell phone or Palm Pilot, the company said. Resellers can also integrate any field, table or business rule into the mobile solution.

For example, employees can remotely access contact information, review their calendar, respond to email and enter time sheets and expense reports, said Navision. And with the WAP Resource Toolkit employees can access information for the supplier or customer, including catalog information, inventory, promotions and discounts.
