Clients seeking tax advice can visit the site and, for a capped fee, an E&Y specialist researches, analyzes and prepares a written response to tax questions submitted via the Internet. There are two service levels: the standard service of three to four business days or express service of one or two days, the company reported.

"Now clients will have access to Ernst & Young's top tax specialists at the click of a mouse," says Linda Hyatt, E&Y project director. The project began as an internal system in June of this year.

According to E&Y, Canadian clients can receive online tax advice not only from Canadian tax specialists but also from tax specialists in 11 other countries around the world.
