Lead Director Leaves CBiz CLEVELAND, Sept. 28, 2000 (SmartPros) Troubled accounting firm consolidator Century Business Services Inc., known as CBiz, has announced that its lead director, Joseph J. Plumeri, is leaving the firm after less than six months. Plumeri, who joined the CBiz board at the end of April, has taken a management postion at an unnamed London firm, CBiz said. "Part of what he undertook was bringing strategic direction to the company, and finding a chief executive officer," said Dan Clark, chief communications officer. "He pretty much completed his task." Prior to joining CBiz, Plumeri formerly served as chief executive for Citibank North America and as chairman and chief executive of Primerica Financial Services. While a decision on a new chief executive hasn't been made, Plumeri recommended two final candidates for consideration, CBiz said. No time frame has been set for choosing a new chief executive. "We'll work with all deliberate speed," Clark said. In July, CBiz named Jerome P. Grisko as its president. Grisko had served as interim president of the company since February 2000. -- By Melissa Klein Send comments to information@smartpros.com 2000, Smartpros Ltd. All Rights Reserved. |
