SEC's Levitt Aide Scardino Leaving for Citigroup WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 19, 2000 (SmartPros) After seven years of service, the chief of staff to Securities and Exchange Commission chairman Arthur Levitt is moving on. Jennifer A. Scardino is leaving the Commission to join the London office of Citigroup as director of corporate affairs for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the SEC said. Tracey E. Aronson has been named Scardino's successor and will begin Oct. 1. Before becoming chief of staff, Scardino, 32, was director of the SEC's Office of Public Affairs, Policy Evaluation and Research from 1993 to 1996. She served as the Chairman's chief media strategist and the agency's chief spokesperson. Aronson, 39, was the director of SEC's Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs before being named chief of staff. She served as counsel to the Chairman prior to assuming that position. Before joining the executive staff, Aronson worked as Special Trial Counsel in the Division of Enforcement.
