Ernst & Young Names Global Management Team NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2000 (SmartPros) In an effort to serve clients across the globe, Ernst & Young has selected a management team for a global organization, under which more than 60 countries will combine operations into 10 geographic areas. Those named as "global managing partners" include John F. Ferraro, who will handle global service lines, industries, global accounts, and sales and marketing; Patrick Gounelle, in charge of knowledge, technology, and information systems; Jean-Charles Raufast, who will tackle practice integration with a focus on emerging markets; and Lewis A. Ting, who will handle human resources. The new team will be responsible "for implementing the firm's global vision and strategy, and for the management of geographic area operations," the firm said. "These new appointments and the structural changes we are making will enable Ernst & Young to respond to the global needs of clients with greater speed and flexibility, and provide clients with the value and confidence they need to move forward successfully in the new millennium," said James S. Turley, deputy chairman and chairman-elect. The 10 geographic areas that make up the global organization include more than 60 countries, but will eventually include all practices worldwide. All of the geographic areas report directly to the firm's global chief executive William L. Kimsey, the firm said. -- SmartPros New Staff Send comments to information@smartpros.com 2000, Smartpros Ltd. All Rights Reserved. |
