BDO Seidman Launches New Subsidiary for E-Business CHICAGO, Sept. 7, 2000 (SmartPros) Tax consulting firm BDO Seidman has formed a new subsidiary that will act as an incubator for e-business and products, the firm said. The new entity, mindpepper, will identify and create Internet businesses and products to meet market needs. Mindpepper will provide seed capital and strategic advice, and will assist with finance, accounting and information technology to businesses it creates, the company stated. Terry Kelly, a BDO Seidman board member, will serve as chairman of the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based subsidiary. Catherine Ettinger, manager of BDO Seidman eServices, will serve as chief executive. In addition, Kelly chairs BDO Seidman's Internet and E-Commerce Strategy committee and serves as the U.S. representative on the BDO International Policy Board. Ettinger served as the U.S. member of the BDO International Intranet committee. BDO Seidman serves clients through more than 100 locations throughout its U.S. distribution network.
