ELedger, a provider of Web-based accounting for small businesses, said that is has moved its data center from Ohio-based Sky Technology Resources to Exodus Communications in order to "accomodate the growing number of customers," said spokeswoman Jennifer Whaley. Exodus Communications provides Internet hosting and managed services.

Since its lauch in May, the company has attracted nearly 300 users, said Whaley. The company offers its Web-based accounting application for $19.95 a month for an account that includes access for ten users plus accountant access. The features include general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and an analysis tool called Flashpoints.

Eledger is vying to stake its claim in a marketplace crowded with online providers, such as Cupertino, Calif.-based Intacct, which offers Web-based accounting for $49.95 per month for the first two users and $4.95 per month for each additional user; and San Mateo, Calif.-based NetLedger, which costs $4.95 per month, per user.
