ACCPAC Rolls Out Director Series and Executive Series 4.0 ORLANDO, Fla. Sept. 1, 2000 (SmartPros) Accounting software vendor ACCPAC International, a division of Computer Associates' interBiz group, has rolled out its ACCPAC Director Series and launched the latest release of ACCPAC Executive Series, the firm announced at its annual reseller conference here. Both solutions share the same code base and are shipped with source-code to allow modifications by ACCPAC Business Partners and end-users, ACCPAC said. Both the Director and Executive Series function in multiple database environments. "Director Series fills a critical need for those resellers and customers interested in transitioning to the next generation of source-modifiable business management software," said David M. Hood, ACCPAC president and chief executive. The new Executive Series release includes several enhancements to the core suite, including expanded multi-currency support, predictive sales order modeling and cross-module drill down. Executives Series 4.0 and Director Series include ten integrated, object-oriented applications. Customers can use the new series with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase Adaptive Server for Windows NT databases. ACCPAC Executive Series starts at $9,000 per module (source code included). ACCPAC Director Series starts at $4,000 per module (source code included). Pleasanton, Calif.-based ACCPAC has more than 550,000 registered clients and 5,500 business partners.
