Great Plains Adds Analytical Functionality FARGO, N.D., Aug. 31, 2000 (SmartPros) Great Plains, a mid-market software vendor based here, has joined forces with an analytical tools vendor to enable users to build custom analytical applications, the company said. Great Plains and Boise, Idaho-based Knosys Inc., the developer of ProClarity Analytical Platform, a front-end analytical application platform built for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and OLAP services, have signed an agreement to integrate the analytical functionality of ProClarity into Great Plains' SQL Server products. The functionality will be meshed with Great Plains' Enterprise Reporting, for group reporting and consolidation needs; FRx Desktop and FRx Professional, for mid-market financial reporting; and Great Plains' Dynamics, Solomon IV and eEnterprise, its e-business back-office solutions, the company reported. The relationship enables users to build custom analytical applications around Microsoft SQL Server OLAP/Analysis Services.
