Block in Deal to Provide E-Filing in Canada TORONTO, Aug. 31, 2000 (SmartPros) The Canadian unit of tax giant H&R Block has signed a deal with a Toronto-based tax prep software provider to offer electronic filing throughout Canada. Under the agreement with online solutions provider Inisoft Corp., Block will use Inisoft technology to offer electronic tax return filing for Canadians in any province, as well as abroad. As part of the deal, Block also gains marketing rights for a Block-branded version of Inisoft's Initax online tax prep solution.
