Gursey Named CalCPA President


REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 21, 2000 (SmartPros) The California Society of Certified Public Accountants, one of the largest state societies with 30,000 members, has elected Donald L. Gursey as its president.



Gursey is a partner in the Los Angeles firm of Gursey, Schneider & Co., where he specializes in litigation services. He succeeds Paul Kuperstein as CalCPA president.

CalCPA also elected several other new officers, including David L. George of Yorba Linda, first vice president; Mark E. Dauberman of Los Angeles, vice president; Therese Emerick of El Dorado Hills, vice president; David M. Cieslak of Encino, education foundation president; and Christopher T. Yahng of Oakland, board director.

Gursey, a founding member and former chairman of CalCPA’s statewide Committee on Litigation Services, has also served as committee chairman and member of the Society’s Valuation Conferences. He also chairs the amicus curiae committee, is a member of the litigation steering committee and is director of the political action committee.
