Sage Launches TimeKeeper, Plans For MAS 200 Roll Out IRVINE, Calif., July 21, 2000 (SmartPros) Leading middle market accounting software vendor Sage Software Inc. this month will introduce its new Timekeeper module, a tool for capturing and recording time, for MAS 90 and MAS 200. The Timekeeper module will be available with stand-alone, remote and Internet-based components that will allow users to enter time via their PC, their Palm OS handheld, and over the Internet, using the wireless capability of the Palm VII or a Web browser, Sage said. Sage said the availability of wireless entry anticipates the eventual move toward wireless support for the product line. Wireless order inquiries and sales order entry are two of the enhancements planned for the future, the firm said. Sage is also gearing up for the launch the latest version of its popular MAS product line, Sage MAS 200, its Microsoft SQL Server 7.0-based product, in September. According to the company, the functionality of SQL Server will allow for much greater analysis and in-depth reporting, in addition to the ease of integration into existing systems. "Incorporating the leading relational database into the new MAS 200 is a logical step in the evolution of Sage as the leading provider of business accounting software," said David R. Butler, president and chief operating officer of Sage Software. -- SmartPros News Staff Send comments to information@smartpros.com 2000, Smartpros Ltd. All Rights Reserved. |
