Cope with Exam Anxiety

(SmartPros) As the CPA exam gets closer, your anxiety level may begin to rise. To help you deal with the increased level of stress during this period, Becker Conviser CPA Review has put together some tips to help you overcome that anxious feeling and get back to studying.

Set manageable goals
Make a list of all the areas you need to study. Break these topics into smaller sections and master one section at a time. When you are done with a section, cross it off your list and move on to the next.

Prioritize your responsibilities
The closer the test gets the more important it is to prioritize your responsibilities. Every morning sit down and write a list of everything you need to accomplish that day. Once you have compiled the list, prioritize all of your responsibilities and get the most important items done first.

Think success
It's easy to be skeptical about your performance in the Exam, but it's important to approach the test with a positive attitude and "think success". Be prepared for the test, and most importantly believe you will succeed.

Relax
If studies become too overwhelming and you can't imagine how you are going to finish your term paper, study for the CPA Exam and prepare for your classes take a break, drop what you are doing and relax. Go take a walk around campus, hit the gym or visit a friend.
